-Selected as National Director Hult Prize Colombia: Representative of the Hult Prize Foundation in Colombia and responsible for leading and running the national event.-Fundación el Nogal Prize: The Colombian Reconciliation Corporation and the Swedish Embassy. Gave Juan Pablo the Prize “jovenes construyendo paz” at the category: Graduated projects that building peace with the proposal: "Transforming waste into protein to produce feed for cattle linking rural communities". October 2016.

-Scholarship to participate on the Global Competitiveness Leadership program (GCL) at Georgetown University. January 2016: Carolina Foundation Scholarship for the master’s Renewable Energy and Advance Technologies for agricultural and business development at the University of Valladolid (Spain). September, 2015.

-Granted as a young researcher at Colciencias in partnership with Universidad de Caldas where I develop a project in Biological control. January, 2015 

-Scholarship to cover my English certified exams (TOEFL, GRE) the embassy of the United States and the Centro Colombo Americano launched opportunity funds program assists highly qualified students who are likely to be awarded full financial aid from U.S. September, 2014.

-Scholarship for learning French (9 courses in English). Colfuturo Talent Seed Program. May 2014.

Hobbies

I grew up in a little town from Colombia where the armed conflict boosted a widespread poverty that did not allow us to acquire a dignify life. This is why I want to become a social leader whose mission, is to encourage young people from rural areas to achieve their dreams and impact their communities.

Job Experience

-January 2018 - Until present: Project manager for the Universidad de Caldas and Comité de Cafeteros funded sustainable rural young projects. Universidad de Caldas and Comité de Cafeteros is offering technical, technological programs and an undergraduate program focused on young people from the rural sector, those students have limited access to higher education. Once the students finish their studies, they receive resources to carry out their own projects related to the use of renewable energies that benefit their communities.

-April 2016 - December 2017: Professor and Researcher at Caldas University linked to “Universidad en el campo Program”: Some of my functions as a professor and researcher is to teach students how to Formulate, evaluate and execute their own productive projects. In order increase their incomes, the program expected that those projects will be implemented by the students and allow them to empower their rural communities.

-October 2016 - January 2017: As National Director, I was responsible for organizing and implementing the national event of the Hult Prize competition in Colombia. This included working with the all the academic institutions, the students, and members of the community to spread awareness of the President's Challenge and promoting social entrepreneurship as a sustainable means to solve it. The competition will include at least 100 student teams across the Country, with the winning team advancing directly to the

regional final.

-July 2016 - December 2016: Consultant: When I finish my Master studies in Spain and my Diplomat in the United States, I dedicated myself to advise professors (7) from Caldas University in topics related to sustainable projects management, economics and software management. I taught them how to use the Lean Business Model Canvas and how to implement at the

classrooms with their students.

January 2015- September 2015 Colciencias young researcher: I won a Colciencias Scholarship in agreement with Caldas University, I was in charge of developing, managing and executing projects concerning to mass production of beneficial insects empowering rural communities (Encarsia formosa, persimlis Phytoseiulus and Amblyseius (Neoseiulus) californicus, Tamarixia radiata).

-January 2014 - July 2014: Fellowship at Luker experimental Farm. I was in charge of developing basic and adaptive research programs aiming to improve agroforestry systems of cocoa. Furthermore, I lead an investigation group focus in agronomic characterization of cocoa elite clones, translation and technical assistance in cocoa seminars addressed to foreigners involved in the cocoa sector, evaluation and collection of data from established research, collection and analysis of cocoa. Management of administrative software called “Mi finca”.

-August 2013 - December 2013: Internship at Caldas University in crop systems production.

-January 2013 - June 2013: Laboratory Assistant of Plant Physiology at the University of Chapingo- Mexico. October 2009 - December 2009: Technical Assistant in agronomic crops.

I.N.C.O.D.E.R.

-October 2008-August 2009: Technical Assistant using Global Position System (SIG). Foundation Dario Maya Botero. technical support of the Productive Ranger Families Project in the East of Caldas, Phase N ° 1 and Phase N ° 2.
